Our Work

Preserving the Architectural DNA of Our Ancestors

Nestled along the banks of the Ohio River lies a treasure trove of history—hand-cut stones that tell tales of a bygone era. As the river flowed, it carried not just trade and materials but also the legacy of master craftsmen of European descent. Their craftsmanship lives on in the churches, chapels, and mansions, most of which stood tall before the turn of the 20th century.

For the past 3 decades, I’ve had the privilege of salvaging these stones, preserving the artistry and grandeur of these architectural masterpieces. From hand-carved door surrounds to majestic stone arches, each piece speaks volumes about the craftsmanship that defines it. Within these pages, are my records of specific salvage effort, the geological legacy of the stones, and homage to the artistry of master craftsmen.
